Add remote hardware Conference Bridge with CUCME

Allow me to have a intro why I have attempted so as it might seems to be illogical to some of you. One of my CME router had only PVDM2-16 and it didn’t allow me to add any Conference Bridge inside it, but another router had enough DSP to support additional bridge to support my CME site. So did try this weird attempt and got succeed šŸ˜€

Okey, now let’s come to the configuration, it’s configured exactly same as you configure hardware bridge for CUCM.

At Remote Router

sccp local Loopback0
sccp ccm identifier 1 version 4.1
sccp ccm group 1
bind interface Loopback0
associate ccm 1 priority 1
associate profile 2 register cmcme_conf
dspfarm profile 2 conference
codec g711ulaw
codec g711alaw
codec g729ar8
codec g729abr8
codec g729r8
codec g729br8
maximum sessions 1
associate application SCCP

At the CME Router (bolded):

SC#sh run | s telephony-
sdspfarm units 2
sdspfarm tag 1 cucme_conf
conference hardware
no auto-reg-ephone
max-ephones 4
max-dn 50
ip source-address port 2000
load 7941 SCCP41.8-3-3S
max-conferences 8 gain -6
transfer-system full-consult
create cnf-files version-stamp 7960 Apr 01 2010 20:13:08

So just issue the command ‘sh sccp‘ at the remote router and the result is expected like:

Remote#sh sccp
SCCP Admin State: UP
Gateway Local Interface: Loopback0
IPv4 Address:
Port Number: 2000
IP Precedence: 5
User Masked Codec list: None
Call Manager:, Port Number: 2000
Priority: N/A, Version: 4.1, Identifier: 1
Trustpoint: N/A

Conferencing Oper State: ACTIVE – Cause Code: NONE
Active Call Manager:, Port Number: 2000
TCP Link Status: CONNECTED, Profile Identifier: 2

That’s all! šŸ™‚
